Truth – news never new,
Learned, then undone, it’s true.
Truth – bullets bear names,
Neglected stories aflame,
Unstamped passports, concealed claims.
Truth – we’re of dust formed,
Not for dusting, but to be coughed.
Truth – a pawn in squalid games,
Bartered for the highest bidder’s tale,
A yearning soul at a dim street’s edge,
Told of distant love, on highways’ pledge.
Truth – silent screams in slaughters dwell,
More than blood, silence tells.
